They say that when your work is your passion it doesn’t feel like work.
That is certainly the case for me. I’ve been sharing the principles and practices of yoga with folks since 2007. I’m most fulfilled by the meaningful connections and the trust that people share with me. I’m grateful to do the work with students who wish to be empowered to have agency over their bodies, their health and their healing.
Some of my proudest moments include the following:
My work in pediatric cancer and yoga; developing a research protocol and training teachers to work with children undergoing cancer. I’m also thrilled to sit on an international committee to create exercise guidelines for kids with cancer. iPOEG (International Pediatric Oncology Exercise Guidelines
My work with adults who have been diagnosed with cancer. They are fiercely brave and strong, and they bring out the best in me when they attend my classes.
Working privately with those living with advanced stage cancer. Big life lessons and I’m not sure who learned more.
Being named a Top Ten Yoga Instructor by Crowd Wellness 3 years in a row. All 3 years they were in the business of elevating the platforms of those working tirelessly to as health professionals.
